Resin Printing Safety: Handling, Curing and Disposal

Uncured resin is a skin sensitizer. Here is the workflow that keeps you printing for years.

Treat liquid resin like wet paint: nitrile gloves, eye protection, and ventilation. Never touch uncured prints with bare skin.

The workflow: print → drain → wash (IPA 90%+ or water-washable + rinse) → UV cure → post-handle. A wash/cure station ($100–150) makes this nearly mess-free.

Disposal: cure leftover resin and failed prints in sunlight or a UV station before binning. NEVER pour resin or dirty IPA down the drain. Let IPA evaporate or cure it solid.

Sensitization is cumulative — the person who "never had a problem" for a year is the one who shows up in forums with allergic dermatitis in month 14. Gloves are cheaper.
